This was our first litter and they are all really good dogs. This litter was in the works, so to speak, for several years before I convinced Feather's co-owner & breeder that Cuda was the right dog for her. Now, she's glad that I finally convinced her! Actually, it wasn't me as it was Cuda. We had travelled to Pennsylvania for the GCA Eastern Specialty in 2001. Laurel finally got to meet Laurie Soutar and her hounds, including Cuda. In fact, Laurie had brought along a cute, little, black & white Cuda puppy dog named Twister. I'd spotted him and started oohing & ahhing over him. Laurel said, "YOU don't need another dog!" I agreed; she was right. I really needed a bitch, not a dog. So, reluctantly, I bade the puppy goodbye. Imagine my surprise when Laurel bought the boy! LOL... Anyway, after meeting Laurie & seeing Cuda in the flesh, Laurel agreed that he was the hound for Feather. As a result, the pups were whelped 26 May 2002. Here is the first picture of the Sailing Litter. They are about three weeks old. The litter's sire is DC & Can Ch Lakilanni Scatpak Barracuda and they are
out of our dear Feather (Ch El-Aur Summer Breeze FCh). From the left, the pups are: Javelin, Dash, Bugsy, Slate, Jib and Jetty. Sadly, two large, black male puppies were stillborn.
